Provisioning of Learn2024

The Learning Management System (LMS) for the 2024 academic session, Learn2024, has been provisioned and is ready for use. Learn2024 has a different look with a modern, clean user interface designed to improve the staff and student experience. 

It is an upgrade to the latest version of Moodle, Moodle 4.1, which comes with various enhancement features. To support staff with the change, below are free resources for:

Onboarding Procedure for Learn2024

  1. Access Learn2024 using the link – https://learn2024.ukzn.ac.za/

  3. Migrate course content to Learn2024 – To reuse content from Learn2023, backup your course, download the backup on your laptop, and then upload and restore the backup on the 2024 site. For a detailed instruction guide on how to migrate your course, click here.

  5. Enrol teachers in the course – For security reasons, one teacher will need to be linked to the course using the MoodleCourseTeacher app. The linked teacher will then enrol other teachers following the procedures outlined here.
 
For reference purposes, 2021-2023 content will remain available until further notice.
